What Criteria should you look for in a Weight Loss Program?

I’ve found (you probably have too) hundreds of plans for weight loss – diet plans, workout guides, diet PLUS workout guides – all requiring different levels of commitment, time spent prepping and working, money, and bother to implement.
I remain convinced that exercise AND diet both work together to create the fat loss and body image results that you’ll want.
But – With conflicting advice all over the internet and book store shelves, it can be hard to find what plan will be best for you. Maybe you will find my criteria breakdown helpful. It keeps me from getting carried away and forgetting important things in the rush of finding something too good to be true.
Diet/Food – are they restricting:
-when or the frequency of eating (ALWAYS eating! / chose only 5 hours a day to eat during)
-calorie intake (eat everything you want! / count count count calories!)
-dietary restrictions (carbs are evil! / fat is evil! / eat no food! / <:0!)
Weight! Are they focusing on:
-where you’re coming from (Body Mass Index, body type, thyroid condition) and acknowledging and working with that
-where you want to be (crazy physique / slim and lean / just get me a little thinner, please)
Time period -
-Many Pounds, Immediately (quick quick fix)
-Keep chugging – forever (you can’t suffer forever on a diet program)
-Lifestyle strategy (NOT being oppressed is ideal)
Workout Strategy -
-Cardio (burn a steady number of calories)
-Weightlifting (muscles burn fat for longer)
-High Intensity Training (it’s cardio AND weightlifting er.. it’s at least {awesome for you, look into it~Aerobic and Muscle building at once?})
What you’re working towards -
-Mega-strong-man lifting!
-Lean and Mean
-A body you’re proud of
Figuring out what you want your diet, workout, and information is a key step to finding a plan that will work for you. Keep your answers in mind, and poke around – try the internet, you’ll find lots or find a website you trust with reviews to help you select.
