Weight Loss Issues: Riding The Bicycle

No. Today I am not going to devote my long speech to the great advantages of the bicycles as the perfect variant as the exerciser. (Although it is really so that it can be used with the intentions of weight loss effect.) Right now I would like to speak about the similarities of learning how to ride the bicycle and its real weight loss affect in any diet plan. I am more than sure that everyone has once tried to learn riding a bicycle. Interestingly, during the whole process we have experienced different emotions among which I can mention anger, fear, excitement, joy, freedom and exhilaration. Usually, the whole process looks like that: we start by observing the other who ride an bicycles and as a rule we get firstly from our parents the tricycle; afterwards, we move the bicycle with special training wheels and one day in our life, although much time may pass, we are “on the wheels”, as the professional riders say. And then in a time we are on the normal bike with traditional wheels.

In fact, weight loss success always means getting rid of the excessive pounds and practically never possessing them. Actually, when we learn how to ride we gain different skills such as keeping the balance, how to hold the body in order not to fall down, how to pedal, how to spot and eventually how to get off it (it is also an art). In most cases, the majority of these skills turn out to be pretty easy for us while there are some that needs consideration and practice. Our friends and siblings usually experience the same, though, there might be slight difference. Besides, the way we perceive this experience is also different. For instance, when my sister learned to ride it seemed to me that it happened so quick in comparison to my situation, but the only difference was made by the area we trained and that is all.

The same is with the successful weight loss, meaning some of the skills will be gained easily while the others needs time and practice as well as patience. Besides, there is no way to compare our situation with weight problems with the other people, as we do not really know the peculiarities of someone else’s health and state of mindset. Actually, one of the basic skills we have to acquire in our weight loss venture is connected with the basic nutrition. That is pretty much the same as to pedal: as food fuels us, let us move and make us slow down. So, it means that most diets are concentrated on the pedaling. However, if you cannot get on the bike right, it is not going to do you good. In most cases the explanation for the first collapse is the imbalanced way of riding. Well, before thinking about the pedaling you are advised to focus on the situation of how to get on your bicycle.
