Three Criterion Which Your Diet Plan Must Have To Be Successful
By EricHanson | November 30, 2009
I spend a large amount of time in the weight loss forums and practically everyday, someone will inquire what the newest fad diet plan is. Many of the individuals who ask are already on a weight loss program. Have you been chasing after the latest fad diet? If so, why are you searching for an alternative diet plan? If you are presently on a diet program but are not pleased with it, then why is that so? Is the present plan not assisting with weight loss? Here, we will look at 3 reasons why you might not be able to lose weight on the diet plan you are currently on.
1. First, do you have a hard time staying away from your favourite treats? For myself, I have had this trouble in the past. More than once, I began a diet and made a promise not to consume any prohibited goodies. Unfortunately, I broke this promise many times. At the moment are you possibly thinking of dropping your diet program since you are not allowed to eat any of these prohibited foods that you enjoy so much? Well, I’m going to need to reveal something here. There is no diet program anyplace that I know of which will help you with weight loss without having some kind of food limits involved. Any diet plan out there will control what you consume in some way or another. Ideally, you want to discover a diet plan that will have the smallest amount of limitations on you favourite goodies. Once you find a diet program such as this, I would recommend that you remain with it forever as it is especially important to you.
Keep in mind that if you desire to reduce weight, all you really have to do is in effect stick to healthy food. You don’t, however, want to entirely restrict the prohibited foods which you love. If you completely cut out your favourite treats, this tends to lead to binge eating. Binge eating will cause you to put back all of that weight you lost and more.
2. Are you the kind of individual who dislikes doing calorie counting during your diet? I definitely am. I completely dislike any diet program where I have to endlessly make a count of calories consumed, each time I consume something. It’s just no good at all. Any person who as ever counted calories will be in agreement that it is a very difficult task, not to mention that it is annoying. What calorie counting in reality does is it takes an otherwise straight forward diet plan and makes it too complex. This, in turn, makes it more likely that you will abandon the diet plan altogether.
Now think for a minute, of all the calculations you would have to do if you, for instance, want to go to a restaurant for dinner. Also, think about how much time you would require for counting up every one of your calories for only one day.
3. Is your diet program costing you too much money? A good diet program should be effective at burning fat but it shouldn’t burn a hole in your wallet at the same time. Some diet plans require that you pay for their food products and these can be enormously costly. I don’t recommend any of these diet plans. You do not need specifically arranged food packages in order to reduce weight. Any of the wholesome foods that you need for your diet plan can be purchased at your local store.
In conclusion then, an ideal diet program must have the following traits: First, you should be allowed to eat at least a couple of your favourite goodies. Second, you shouldn’t have to worry about counting calories. Lastly, it must be totally affordable. Make certain that your diet program fulfills all three of these criteria.
