What they do not say is how these supplements can increase your heart rate, increase your blood pressure, and are full of caffeine or caffeine like stimulants. Sure, some people can handle or like the increase in energy, but after the “high” wears off your body comes crashing down.
There is a better way than filling your body full of weight loss pills and supplements. If you feed your body the proper nutrition by eating the right foods, you can accomplish the same goals as taking pills. There are foods that increase your metabolism that are healthy and natural such as grapefruit and green tea.
The other part of losing weight in a healthy way, is when to eat. Many people think that if you starve yourself or if you do a fasting weight loss, that you will lose the weight quickly. The problem with just stopping the intake of nutrition for your body also lies in your metabolism. When calories are not ingested, it would be assumed that your body turns to the fat to burn. However, with less of an intake in calories, your body slows the metabolism (somewhat like going into shock), and actually can burn less calories.
So, it is important to continue to feed your body the calories it needs, but in the right amount, time and kind. The formula for weight loss is very simple, and always has been. If you take in less calories than you burn, then you will begin to lose weight. If you consume more calories that you burn, you will gain. If you want to consume less calories and maintain the same activity lifestyle, then you must diet and eat the right foods. If you want to continue to eat the same amount of calories, then you have to get yourself on an exercise program. Weight loss is that simple!
